MONDSEGEL CAPITAL

For CPAs & Attorneys

Accountants and attorneys are often the first professionals a business owner consults about succession, partial liquidity, expansion or financial pressure. Mondsegel Capital welcomes introductions, with client consent, when an established business may benefit from a confidential conversation about a full sale, a controlling-interest partnership or a selective recapitalization. These descriptions reflect Mondsegel Capital’s investment interests and do not constitute a commitment to provide financing, invest capital, or complete any transaction. Each opportunity is subject to evaluation, available capital, applicable approvals, negotiated terms, and definitive agreements.

Why a direct conversation can help your client

A client may want to retire, retain ownership while bringing in a controlling partner, or evaluate whether a capital investment could help strengthen an otherwise viable company. A direct conversation with a prospective buyer can clarify potential structures before an owner commits to a formal transaction process. We respect the client’s independent legal, tax and accounting advisers throughout.

How we work with you and your client

  • We handle initial conversations discreetly. Before requesting detailed nonpublic financial or operating information, we generally enter into an appropriate written confidentiality agreement and establish a secure process for sharing sensitive materials.
  • We will not contact your client’s employees, customers, suppliers, competitors, lenders, or other third parties concerning a potential transaction involving the business without your client’s prior authorization, except where required by law.
  • We aim to tell you within about five business days whether a business is a fit, and why if it is not.
  • We encourage your client to keep their CPA and attorney involved from the first conversation through closing, and we welcome your role in the process.

Professional obligations

An introduction should be made only with your client’s consent and in keeping with your professional and ethical obligations. Nothing on this page implies referral compensation, and we do not ask you to step outside your independent role.

Brokered opportunities

Our focus is direct conversations with owners. When a business is presented by a broker, we review it on its merits.
