Considering Selling Your Business on Oregon’s North Coast?
Mondsegel Capital is a private investment firm seeking to acquire established, privately held businesses in Clatsop and Tillamook counties, with particular interest in Astoria, Warrenton, Seaside, and surrounding communities.
We focus on businesses generating less than $5 million in annual revenue and approximately $100,000 to $1 million in EBITDA. Our interests include food and beverage processing, manufacturing, agricultural processing, and industrial services and distribution.
For owners considering retirement, succession, or a change in ownership, we offer the opportunity to speak directly with a prospective long-term buyer. A broker is not required to begin a conversation, and owners are encouraged to involve their own CPA and attorney throughout the process.
We believe that a successful transition should consider more than purchase price. The future of the business, its employees, customers, suppliers, and surrounding community also matters.
| Revenue | Less than $5 million |
|---|---|
| EBITDA | Approximately $100,000 to $1 million |
| Industries | Food and beverage processing, manufacturing, agricultural processing, and industrial services and distribution |
| Location | Clatsop and Tillamook counties, with particular interest in Astoria, Warrenton, Seaside, and surrounding communities |
We also welcome conversations with North Coast owners who are not ready to step away completely. Depending on the situation, a majority partnership may allow an owner to retain a minority stake and continue contributing to the business, while a selective recapitalization may help finance equipment, working capital or a carefully evaluated growth plan. These descriptions reflect Mondsegel Capital’s investment interests and do not constitute a commitment to provide financing, invest capital, or complete any transaction. Each opportunity is subject to evaluation, available capital, applicable approvals, negotiated terms, and definitive agreements.

Questions North Coast owners ask us
Do I need a broker to talk with you?
No. You can speak with us directly. We encourage you to involve your own CPA and attorney from the start so you have trusted advice throughout the process.
Does selling mean I must leave the business?
Not necessarily. We consider both complete sales and majority ownership partnerships. In a majority ownership transaction, the existing owner may retain a minority interest and continue in an agreed leadership or advisory role. Ownership percentages, voting rights, management responsibilities, minority protections, and future liquidity arrangements are determined through negotiation and documented in definitive agreements.
Will the business stay on the coast?
That is our intent. The value of a North Coast business is usually its people, its customers, and its place in the community, and we look to keep all three.
My business is in a small town like Wheeler, Garibaldi, or Jewell. Are you still interested?
Yes. What matters to us is a well-run business with a solid history, not the size of the town.
How do you look at a seasonal business?
Seasonality is an important consideration, but it is not automatically a disadvantage. We evaluate multi-year financial results, the predictability of seasonal demand, working-capital requirements, and the durability of earnings throughout the business cycle. Our valuation guide explains how buyers arrive at a price.
My business is farther down the coast. Should I still call?
Yes. The North Coast is our focus, but we are glad to talk with owners elsewhere on the Oregon Coast.
